Automotive oscilloscopes allow to capture automotive signals and process or transform captured waveforms. However, many useful transformations are not supported. Thus, an online system is proposed, consisting of:
- Web Server
- File Server
- Processing Server
These can be located on the same or separate machines. A user uploads a waveform or waveforms, along with instructions on what transformations to apply, through the Web Server. The Web Server also handles authentication and/or authorization of users.
The data and instructions are stored on the File Server, and are fetched by the Processing Server. The Processing Server runs the data through appropriate algorithms and stores the results on the File Server. Then the Web Server makes the results available to the user in a form of downloadable files, graphs, or interactive animations.
It is claimed that:
- The system consisting of a Web Server, File Server, and Processing Server is capable of uploading, storing, processing of waveforms supplied by users.
- Such a system is also capable of presenting results back to the users in form of files, graphs, or interactive animations.
