Relative Compression Waveforms Generator

One of my previous projects, a Cranking In-Cylinder Waveform Generator, plots a waveform for a cranking in-cylinder test. What if we would like to generate waveforms for all cylinders at the same time, as well as for the intake and exhaust manifold? Enter Relative Compression Waveforms Generator.
It allows specifying engine parameters for up to 12 cylinders and 2 banks. Starter current, crankshaft speed, in-cylinder and manifold pressures, as well as simulated pulse sensor signals are plotted.

A few years ago I created a Cranking In-Cylinder Waveform Generator – which, using some math and physics, allowed to plot a waveform for a cranking in-cylinder test. The engine could be “broken” in various ways, such as valve leaks, ring leaks, camshaft timing being off, etc.
I have now updated the generator. Firstly, two plots are generated at the same time, allowing comparisons to a “good” cylinder, or comparisons of two different failures. Secondly, experimental features such as specifying vacuum at the intake manifold, or extra pressure at the exhaust manifold, have been added.

Welcome to Arithmechanics.com! Here you will find information on my current hardware and software projects.
I have expertise in high-frequency trading, continuous optimization, statistical methods, software development, and digital signal processing. This allows me to participate in or manage complex projects that involve both software and hardware components.
Please use the menu to browse through my Projects. If you would like to know more about any of the projects or feel that I can help you with one of your own, please find my contact information in the Contacts tab.
